We know this is a practical world where we earn respect through honesty and working hard. We believe in preparation, training and education, which gives us the knowledge to work safe, work smart, and work productively.

We believe in challenges that require dedication, desire, planning, and execution to feel a high level of accomplishment. We do not believe in the concept of can’t. We believe in teamwork.  We believe in encouraging our co-workers to have a positive attitude and positive work ethic. We also value the secure friendships we have developed with others in our workplace.

We give eternal thanks to our Creator for our family’s good health and happiness. We believe in complete support of our community and our obedience to its laws.

We respect and appreciate our mentors, for their insight, wisdom, and knowledge they have passed on to us.  We also accept the traditional responsibility of teaching and sharing our knowledge with others who are eager to learn.  We know this successful process will only strengthen and nourish our culture for the future generations to embrace.

The family owned company was founded in 1960 by Marvin L. Selge, Sr.  The company is run today by its current President, Marvin L. Selge, Jr.  Over the past 55 years, we have assembled a team of talented employees who take pride in their strong work ethic and high level of integrity.

At Selge Construction we have the most tenured employee’s in the industry. Average turnover in the construction industry is 20% per year while Selge has averaged less than 2%. Our average employee has worked at Selge for 15 years. We attribute that success to the integrity of the company to choose the right thing even when no one is looking. We have dozens of father/son and siblings that work together.

Our team mentality creates a sense of family among the company. This provides better accountability, safety, and quality throughout every project.
