Selge Construction was the successful bidder for the LaGrange County Regional Utility District’s Contract A Wasterwater Treatment Plant for Wastewater Service to the unincorporated communities of Howe, Cedar Lake, CT 700, and ITRCC TP 7. The project involves the construction of a new extended aeration activated sludge wastewater treatment plant. The wastewater treatment process will include a plant lift station, a mechanical screen with washer/compactor, ultra violet disinfection, post-aeration and effluent flow monitoring. The facility will include a lab/maintenance building and an electric/headworks building.

Hidden Hills Estates

Project Description

Selge Construction completed the construction of two new roads ending in cul-de-sacs for the Hidden Hill Estates Subdivision. Each road consisted of large amounts of earthmoving and 23 new storm structures. All of this was done to create twenty beautiful buildable lots. Earthmoving, clearing of trees, and asphalt paving were all part of the project. Other details are as follows:

  • 2717 Linear Feet of Storm Sewer
  • 5345 Linear Feet of Concrete
  • 1465 Tons of Asphalt
  • 13 Manholes and 10 Catch Basins

Selge performed the total reconstruction of the Lincoln Way West, Charles Martin, and Leland intersection. The main goal of the project was to improve the traffic flow and develop the surrounding area in a way that would promote better business and residential flow. Selge installed:

  • 168,525 CY common excavation
  • 43,044 concrete curb and curb and gutter
  • 69,519 LF of pipe, type 1-3, circular, 6” – 42”
  • 44,364 SY of geotextiles for underdrains, inlets, manholes, catch basins
