James Boyles, P.E.
President
My role at Selge Construction as Vice President is to oversee the planning and coordination of all productive and non-productive operations.
My experience includes a variety of INDOT, MDOT, municipal and private projects, including highway construction and reconstruction, site development, interceptor sewer systems, river crossings, horizontal earth borings, lift stations, municipal water systems, estimating and job costing including the installation of over a million feet of piping by directional drilling. We have also built the largest solar carport project in North America at Michigan State University.
I attended Purdue University and obtained my Professional Engineers license in 1990. I have had the pleasure of working with the Selge Construction team since 1995. Before joining Selge Construction I worked for various cities in the engineering department, as well as for an asphalt paving contractor.
I currently reside in Niles MI with my wonderful wife and enjoy spending time with our six children and granddaughter. In my free time I like to stay very active in all types of physical activity. I enjoy stretching the limits and participate in extreme obstacle course races.
