Selge Construction Staff Bios

The following Selge Construction staff bios give an overview of our company’s experience and industry knowledge. We are proud of our team’s commitment to Selge Construction and to providing the highest level of service to our clients.
Marv Selge, Jr.
President
Marv attended Olivet College and has been with Selge since 1971. His experience includes INDOT, Municipal interceptor sewer systems, dewatering, river crossings, horizontal earth borings, lift stations, municipal water systems.

Marv takes care of the estimating and job costing, equipment procurement including the installation of over a million feet of piping by directional drilling. In addition he oversees the day to day managerial requirements for all productive and non-productive operations.

James Boyles, P.E.
Vice President
Jim attended Purdue University and has been with Selge Construction since 1995. Previously he worked 8 years with Niblock Excavating and 2 years of with City of Elkhart Engineering Dept.
 
His experience included a variety of INDOT, municipal and private projects, including highway construction and reconstruction, site development, interceptor sewer systems, river crossings, horizontal earth borings, lift stations, municipal water systems, estimating and job costing including the installation of over a million feet of piping by directional drilling. 

Jim oversees the planning and coordination of all productive and non-productive operations.

Bruce Dickie
Safety & Resources Manager & EEO Officer
Bruce is a graduate of Bethel college where he received a degree in Management of Human Resources. He has been with Selge since 2007. Previous jobs include 10 years employment with local Mechanical Contractors, Dye Mechanical Inc. / Delco, Inc.as well as 4 years employment with Holy Cross Services Corp. (St. Mary’s)

Bruce's experience ranges from safety experience which includes compliance with OSHA Standards, Haz-Com and confined space entry.  His background also includes working for local mechanical contractors installing, maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC plumbing and mechanical systems, project management and supervision.

Bob Kuhns, P.E.
Project Engineer
Bob has been with Selge since 2000. His previous experience includes 2 years at Ken Herceg and Associates. Bob received a degree from Tri-State University.

Bob's experience ranges from INDOT, municipal, county and private projects, design construction and reconstruction of highways, streets, bike trails, water distribution systems, storm and sanitary sewers.  Construction of vacuum sewer systems, horizontal earth borings, site design, excavation, grading and subbase preparation, concrete street paving, formed and slip formed curb.

Bob takes care of the Estimating, planning and coordination of projects at Selge.

Justin Butler
Project Manager
Justin is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and has been employed at Selge since 2010. His experience includes Lift stations, dewatering, pipe installation, storm and sanitary sewers, estimating, planning and coordination of projects.

Jamie Plunkett
Project Manager
Jamie has been with Selge since 2005. His was previously with Reith-Riley Construction for 15 years. His experience includes Concrete paving, excavating, fine grading, grade/ paving foreman, project superintendent, and project manager.

Vicki Priest
Secretary and Office Manager
Vicki has been with Selge since 2013. Her previous jobs include 7 years with Kuert Concrete, Inc. and 18 years employment with Lakeland Regional Health System.

Vicki is experienced in running all aspects of the office, which includes payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, preparation and filing of reports and assisting in day to day operation of company.

Crissy Frickson
Accounts Payable
Crissy has been with Selge since 2014. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Bethel College.  She has a wide range of experience from start-up businesses and large manufacturers to the healthcare industry and banking. She assists Vicki with day to day functions and she is our Accounts Payable contact. She also assists our Management Team and Project Managers,  company events, and any other duties deemed necessary.
 

Ron White
Manger, HDD Operations
Ron has been with Selge since 2003. His previous employment includes 3 years with Vermeer Sales & Service, 11 years with GTI, Inc. and 4 years at Cook Paving & Construction.
                                                                    
Ron's experience includes Manager of directional and trenchless projects. He coordinates equipment and personnel needs for day to day scheduling at Selge. Ron is also the past president of the Ohio HDD Association.

Scott Riley
Project Manager
Scott has been with Selge since 1990. His experience includes river crossings, lift stations, municipal interceptor sewer systems, municipal water systems, dewatering, pipe installation, restoration, planning and coordination of projects.

Tom Lentz
Project Manager
Tom has been at Selge since 2001. His previous jobs include 3 years with Rieth-Riley Construction and 18 years with L.L. Geans & Sons.
                                                                                                             
Tom's experience includes a wide variety of concrete work including subbase, formed and slip formed, concrete curb, median barrier, concrete street and highway paving, sidewalks, curbs, drives and center curbs.

Jim Morgan
Superintendent/Foreman
Jim has been with Selge since 1972. His experience includes River crossings, lift stations, municipal interceptor sewer systems, municipal water systems, dewatering, pipe installation by open cut and directional drilling, restoration, planning and coordination. 

Jim is the crew foreman and project superintendent.

Brad Zache
Superintendent/Foreman
Brad has been with Selge since 2000. Brad previously worked for Green Acres Landscaping for 6 years.

His experience includes river crossings, lift stations, municipal interceptor sewer systems, municipal water systems, dewatering, pipe installation by open cut and directional drilling, restoration, planning and coordination. 

Brad is a crew foreman and project superintendent at Selge.

Shawn Herrman
Foreman/Superintendent
Shawn has been with Selge since 2000. His experience includes river crossings, lift stations, municipal interceptor sewer systems, municipal water systems, dewatering, pipe installation by open cut and directional drilling, restoration, planning and coordination. 

Shawn is a crew foreman and project superintendent at Selge.
 

Chris Rader
Superintendent/Foreman
Chris has been with Selge since 2002.
 
Chris's experience includes river crossings, lift stations, municipal interceptor sewer systems, municipal water systems, dewatering, pipe installation by open cut and directional drilling, restoration, planning and coordination.

Chris is a crew foreman and project superintendent at Selge.

Bruce has been with Selge since 2001. His previous employment includes 17 years with L.L. Geans & Sons.
 
Bruce has a wide variety of concrete work including subbase, formed and slip formed, concrete curb, median barrier, concrete street and highway paving, sidewalks, curbs, drives and center curbs.

Matt Huss
Superintendent/Foreman
Matt has been with Selge since 2001. His experience includes a wide variety of concrete work including subbase, formed and slip formed, concrete curb, median barrier, concrete street and highway paving, sidewalks, curbs, drives and center curbs.

Matt is currently working as the dirt Foreman for Selge, his duties include clearing, pre-grading, grading and pond shaping for Commercial, Industrial and Municipal sites.

Eric Hanson
Superintendant/Foreman
Eric has been with Selge since 1998. Prior to coming to Selge, Eric worked for Grady White Boats.
 
Eric does a wide variety of concrete work including subbase, formed and slip formed, concrete curb, median barrier, concrete street and highway paving, sidewalks, curbs, drives and center curbs.
