Jamie Plunkett

Project Manager

The reputation that Selge Construction has within the industry has always intrigued me. It was this intrigue that brought me to the company that I am proud to be a part of now. I am eager to do my part in helping continue to validate the sound reputation that I had heard of many years ago. My primary role at Selge is to manage the construction of projects, while leading teams and individuals towards fulfilling our companies vision. It is important to me to demonstrate a level of professionalism to our project teams and customers to ensure the best project outcome possible. Though I have been with Selge since 2005, I have spent 28 years in the industry. Three years as a laborer and ten years as a Crew Foreman leading crews in tasks ranging from concrete flat work, slip form paving and curb, large excavation projects, and sewer installation. I then spent two years as a Project Superintendent before coming to Selge as Project Manager.

I graduated from John Glenn High School in 1989. Through my years working in this field, I have received training in machine setup, and operations of CMI slip form pavers. I received training on Gomaco slip form curb machines. I have completed management best practices training from FMI Project Manager Academy. Since joining Selge I have completed formal training as well as follow up training from Academy Leadership. I have been a part of teams that have earned various awards for unique applications and quality workmanship. Though all the training I was privileged to receive was valuable, it cannot replace the hands-on experience and lessons that I have learned from those who have taken the time to teach and share their experiences with me through the years.

As proud as I am to say that I am part of the Selge Construction Team. The thing I am most proud of is my family. I have been blessed to be married to my wife Tina for 23 years. We have three incredible children; Mariah, Morgan, and Major. We all love spending as much time as we can together at the lake. Beyond that we fill our calendars full with basketball, soccer, and cross country.
